A.P. Maltsev collection
Archpriest Alexey Petrovich Maltsev (1854-1915) was a prior of the Church of the Russian embassy in Berlin from 1886. He founded Brotherhood of St. Vladimir in Berlin and the Museum of Russian History. Maltsev had to leave Germany in 1914 (start of the World War I). He has left a coins and medals collection of the Museum of Russian History on storage to a family of Oscar Kvaas in 1914 (?). The collection were donated to USSR in 1956 by his daughter Elizabeth Kvaas, the citizen of the Western Berlin.
About 1000 coins and medals are stored in the collection of Archpriest Alexey Petrovich Maltsev.
