XIII Numismatic conference in Russia was being held in April 11-15, 2005 in the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts (Moscow).
More than 200 participants from about twenty European countries and republics of former USSR have taken part in the work of the conference.Members of the Council of the International Numismatic Commission were present at the opening of the conference.
By the opening conference abstracts of 185 papers were published. More than 100 papers were delivered on the sessions devoted to the various fields of numismatics from ancient till modern time as well as to the subsidiary historical disciplines of phaleristics and heraldry, medal art and history of paper money. More than 30 posters were presented as well. International Round Table on the problems of barbarous imitations in Ancient and early Medieval Numismatics has been held and lectures will be published in Russian Bulletin of Ancient History, in 2006.
Since 2005 all-Russian numismatic conferences will be organized once every two years, which decision was announced at the closing meeting of the conference on the April 15, 2005.
XIV Russian numismatic conference was organized in 2007 by the Coins & Medals Department of the State Hermitage.
XV Russian numismatic conference was being held in Rostov-on-Don and was devoted to the 300-th Anniversary of the Battle of Poltava (June 27, 1709).
XVI Russian numismatic conference was organized in 2011 by the Coins & Medals Department of the State Hermitage.
