Yurii Dukov (1939-2014)

On the 18^th February, 2014 Yurii Dukov (1939-2014), former curator of the Greek Coins in the State Hermitage (1967-2012), died after a long illness. The main focus of his scholarly interest was researching the Bosporan coinage and iconography of the Greek Coins. During almost 10 years, in the 1980s, he was Chief Curator of the State Hermitage. He was really attentive and kind  person for all who new him and made huge efforts to help other curators and scholars in their study of the Hermitage coins.
