The Tenth International Project, organized by the Medallic Sculpture Studio at the National Academy of Art, Sofia.30.12.2014 Dear colleagues and friends. This is the Tenth International Project, organized by the Medallic Sculpture Studio at the National Academy of Art, Sofia. As with previous projects, this one is made comprised of seven sessions, which run from February to May and from October to December 2015. We always try to propose subjects, which give opportunity for creative interpretation of problems that are of interest to humanity as a whole. The title of the project is “1001 Nights - Seven Modern Medal Tales”. The idea is to stay away from the original storylines of these tales and to give the artists the opportunity for a diverse and modern interpretation. The terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris happened just as I was thinking on the right order of the stories. That is why I have decided that the first topic should be the story of “Evil Spirit”.
