Nummi Selecti

Project "Nummi Selecti" is devoted to the centenary of the Pushkin Museum. There are about 1,000 selected coins and medals on display.

Museum numismatic collection came from the Imperial Moscow University in 1912 and had been considerably enlarged during 100 years of the Museum' existence.  About 200,000 coins, medals, badges, banknotes, gems and casts are stored in five parts of the numismatic depository: originals —Classical and Byzantine, Oriental, Medieval and Modern European, Russian and Soviet; plaster casts from coins, medals and engraved stones.

Some rare and unique pieces came from the former known private collections of the XVIII-XX centuries.
